In the next few days we will be sending out the freshly printed programme booklets for our organisation’s 92nd Bach Festival, which is planned for 28 July to 6 August 2017 during the event Bachwoche Ansbach. It will be the second time since 1954 that our Festival was held in Ansbach, a former
royal seat. We are especially grateful to Dr Andreas Bomba, who has contributed significantly to the development of the multifaceted and first-rate programme as the Artistic and Managing Director of the Bachwoche Ansbach.
The Bachwoche Ansbach will be celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2017, which is also the jubilee year “500 years of Reformation”. The programme will commemorate both of these anniversaries. You can look forward to magnificent concerts in wonderful, historical spaces, to excursions into the beautiful countryside for concerts in rural venues, to church services with music from Bach and to the flair of an over 1,250-year-old, dynamic Franconian city!
Starting next week, members of our organisation will be able to pre-order their tickets using the form in the programme booklet. The official ticket pre-sale service will begin on 7 December 2016. All other information, e.g. on accommodation options in and around Ansbach, can be found in the programme booklet.
We look forward to seeing you at our Bach Festival 2017 in Ansbach!
